Get Wet or Stay Dry
The Finisterra Project consists on the construction of a Tourist development in Kino Bay, that includes a Marina (75 spaces, 10 for fuel service, gas station and first aid service), dry marina (116 spaces), hotel (100 hotel rooms built in 4 phases; 25 rooms per phase), restaurant (Restaurant with 100 people capacity), residential area (Properties from 250 to 350 m2.) and nautical services (First Aid and Laundry Services). This practical development will alleviate overpopulated neighboring coastlines that can no longer accommodate a growing market. In Kino Bay, there will be plenty of room for everyone to kick back and have a wonderful day or nighttime experience.
The federal and State governments of the region have entrusted to the National Trust Fund for Tourism Development (FONATUR) the leadership of the Sea of Cortez Project, as the first sustainable regional tourism developments in the history of Mexico.
The Sea of Cortez’s project was started in 2003 and all 3 phases are expected to be completed in 2020. The Finisterra Project is a short-term project that will be completed by 2007. The second phase of the Kino Bay project began in 2006.
